A first for Flight Sim scenery? The APAP slope indicator! (This particular setup is at Grundy Municipal Airport).

This is apparently a really archaic version of VASI and PAPI. The object of the game is to line the three panels up in a row, which then indicates that you are on a proper glide path for the runway. Those bars under the panels are flourescent lights, so they work at night too.

If you work with AFCAD or similar programs, one of the choices for slope indicators is "APAP". That is what this is. Choosing that in AFCAD, however, gives you a PAPI-2 setup. On the Airnav.com runway data for the airport, it says "Visual slope indicator: panels that may or may not be lighted, on left"
