View Full Version : S-4A Experimental bomber
This is my first airplane 100% made from a cylinder (:D) (fuselage, wings) with 36 sides and 11 segments (and some extrusions)
It's still in it's primitive state with no gear or other details...
Some handmade blueprints and voilá:

WOW!!
I'm definitely interested in this aircraft! I like the expansive canopy... and the overall shape is wicked!
PLEASE PLEASE take your time with the virtual cockpit. So many times I have come across aircraft that the exterior is fantastic and the virtual cockpit is worthless.
Looking forward to more progress shots...
Thanks! The problem isn't the cockpit... The problem are the textures... I suck at it...

Very sharp design!
You can see her flying, just sitting still..

did you use gMax?
if so, how do you get it as that screenshot?
Thanks again!
It already has the landing gear and it's animation, plus various details and I'm ready to start the cockpit.
I use gmax render suite (freeware) to render these images.

Starting the cockpit just now! :)
Here's how it's going:
It's still missing a lot of gauges, the pilot, some corrections on the VC and new xml animations such as movable windows inside the cockpit (kinda like the Windows OS) only these ones only go in predefined directions.
Here are some pictures of it's features:
Custom cockpit light;
Afterburner and G vapor effects;
Rudder as TVN;
Still a lot of work to be done...

I don't normally appreciate fictituous aircraft designs, but that is a beautiful concept aircraft you have created. If more works of fiction in FS looked like that, I probably would have to change my outlook! It is just excellent.
Thanks! I only do fictional airplanes for FS, sometimes I make some real fighters, but this is what I like. Everyday I come up with a completely different concept airplane on paper and then select some of which will be on FSX.
Here's a preview of the S-4A before release:
I still have to place the pilot and tweak a few things, but it's mostly done:
A different paintjob is also available. The cockpit is much more detailed...
I've given up on the custom gauges except for the attitude indicators, altimeter, airspeed and compass.
