View Full Version : Question !
Hi Arno,
i have a lot of API Files for FSX Effects.
But !
The Converter does not load this API Files for converting.
Can you your Modelconverter for future update that we can
also FSX Effects API Files convert ?!
Fact is, that we can position any effects as BGL Type were we would in our Scenery. Exp. "fireworks" and so on.
I insert a Api File from my effects folder for your example.
Thanks a lot !
Best regards
Ulrich
Hi,
I will examine why these files go wrong. I think it is because they have no other geometry, only an attachpoint for the effect. I think I can solve it.
But why do you want to place these effects with a MDL file? You can also place them directly with XML code. I think that is easier in this case.
Hi,
I fixed the bug with the objects being reported as empty. From tomorrow it will be available in the development release.
Hi,
i build with ADE the Scenery, at there we can faster imported the Effects to the Scenery.
And...i put them in other scenery where we made.
it was very easy....that we can do over ADE.
We can take to groundlevel and positon where we would set by ADE....
I must not imported with xml code and new script to the scenery
where we built.
I download the Developer Version for testing.
Find i here the download link ?
Thanks a lot !
Great work for all your tools !

I haven't used ADE much, so I don't know if it can also position effect files directly. I think that would be better for the performance as you don't have the overhead of the scenery object (MDL) being loaded.
