Windows Registry Question

When installing an app you can install for 'All users' or 'Current user'.

How can another app tell if the installed app was for 'All users' or 'Current user'?

These entries would be found under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE and HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

The registry is not as simple as you may think. When you install a piece of software, there may be 10 or more entries in the registry. When you open a program, how it opens and who (and sometimes when) is all in the registry. Not sure what you are trying to do.
