View Full Version : Night texture whit 3Dmax
How do I at the Night texture, in order to see this in FSX, to a object lake a building.
I am not sure, as I don't have 3DS myself (still waiting for the new GMax gamepack to arrive), but in the past we always had to define the night texture as the ambient map of the material you use. Have you tried that already?

I downloadad and tried the demo version of 3DStudio and the FSX SDK.
There seemed to be alot of settings in the FSX module, but I did not have the time to test them out.
I do remember stumbling over some FSX light settings, but I dont remember where I found them :(
Thanks Arno and knnygar,
@ Arno, I know that the Diffuse and Ambient is working ok in Gmax. I have done buildings in Gmax, do you remember Haamstede in NL2000 :p
Bud set the LM texture on Ambient in 3dmax isn't working :banghead:
So far I have this:

Hi Ruud,
OK (yes I do still remember about Haamstede).
I am waiting for the new GMax gamepack myself, only then will I be able to explore all the changes in the scenery MDL format. So maybe then we can find the answer to this (most users here can't afford to buy 3DS).
Hi Arno,
will this help ? in order to let it work correct whit FSX I need to set the Material/map browser to FlightSimX.
So Standard will be come FlightSimX, that's working bud wan I drop a psp file in the FlightSimX turns back to Standard.
Question how do I work that out ?

That's where I saw it :)
If you choose FlightsimX material you get alot of FSX parameters for light and others.
I know, bud there is no material in the FlightSimX.
wan I set it to FlightSimX and drop a psp in, its resetting back to standard ?
How do I fix this than
Problem Fix t :)
The Night Texture is going in Self-Illumination
Thanks for the support
