View Full Version : Flatten and exclude
I wrote it here because any other forum seems to be right for it.
Iīm searching a program with i can remove the autogen trees and flatten the area from some ground waves.
I tried excbuilderV2 thats ok for excluding.
Then i tried sbuilder but it donīt get it working the exlcude, it wonīt compile the bgl, i recieve all the time an error and found anywhere a solution for it.
Now i ask myself which will be the right program for my problems?
I donīt need creating an airport, only the 2 things mentioned above.
Do you have suggestion, would be a great help for me.
Oh i forgett i use FS2004

I think SBuilder is probably the best tool for what you want to do. What errors are you getting?
Hi Jon,
iīm still at work so the only thing i can show is the thread in the other forum for sbuilder. There i search for a solution but didnīt find one.

I have the same error.
I use all my programs in german.
If you want i can do some more screenshots in the after work tonight.

OK if your problem is that your machine is set to a comma for the decimal separator then SBuilder will not work and requires that you set it to a point.
I switch back and forth all the time when developing my software. I use the Regional and Language Settings in the Control Panel to change it and in Regional Options select English(UK) to get the separator as a point and German to set it to a comma. This changes some parts of the display but not much. Try setting to English and re-start SBuilder - at least you can establish if that makes things work.
Also there are some tutorials on my website that show how to use SBuilder and I thinkthe first one on Regressing Airfields covers flattens and excludes
Dear Jon,
nothing of your suggestion work. I changed the location and region and all i can change to egnlish UK. But when i do so i get the "runtime error 13" i look at the ptsim forum but there is no answere. ahhhh damn

Hello Tabbi,
You need to set the decimal separator character to "." instead of ",". But you can keep all the other regional settings.
I could not quite understand the exact problem that you are encountering.
Kind Regards,
Luis
Sorry english not my native language.
But i solved the problem!
Jon was right with his hint to the setting changes.
THEN i install sbuilder NEW.
So you have to change the setting language etc. to "english UK" BEFORE installing and use it the first time.
And now it works. Hope also next time starting my PC.
Many thanks to you both
