Just a pic or two of a model of dublin airport.only started today so not much done.just going to continue with it and see what happens.any comments welcome,

Any word on EIDW Development? This is one of our hubs at TVA besides MUHA. Also helps that im a huge fan of Irish scenery.

Thanks for the comments.Unfortunately i cant give a release date as of yet. Im currently in my final year in college and have absolutely no free time and obviously my studies come first. I hope to get it finished at some stage though. Unfortunately ifsd closed down about a month ago as the domain expired and only a temporary forum has been set up since.

Well lads.Im actually back doing a bit (Im on christmas holidays!!) Iv now completed the the taxiway edge and centre lights,the light poles with attached effects and the night ground lighting using the fs2002 method.Iv also crated animated gates using cat and actigate which means your aircraft will be recognised automatically.Im animating two of the gates and leaving the rest for ai aircraft.iv also installed a VGDS system to guide you into position at the gate.Next stage is the runway night lighting.

I think that conrete is placed too high, it is cutting in the wheels, and on 2nd screenshot we could see that the airprort light placed on the ground (maybe the taxi green light) is casting a shade but only on the asphalt area and on the concrete there is no shade from casted by this light , i think that you placed it too high.

Yeah the taxi lights problem is because i forgot to add the tweak to cut the shadows.Fixed now.

Can i ask how you made the blue edge lights please?

I made the blue light using effects in fs9.Just placed a box in gmax wherever i wanted a light and used the multiple attach tool to attach a blue colour effect.Theres an awful lot of them though but they look good up close.

Well all,

This will be my last update for a while as i start studying for finals. The afcad is courtesy of Andrew Lawler who did a great job.As can be seen almost all textring is done and a fair chunk of the night lights. The night textures for buildings however has to be done but im fairly happy with the progress.

I saw that alright but at the rate im going they'd probably be done before me.I posted a thread before on their website about my scenery but i might hit them with an email again and see what the story is.Im in America for the summer so wont be getting anything done until september at least

The Aerosoft plea is for other Irish airports as well as Dublin, but also for FSX. It seems Terry is only planning on FS9 Dublin. Perhaps terry you should consider collaborating with Aerosoft on the projecT?

Don't know if you've been informed but this is what I've found out this morning from the Blueprint simulations web: "...Our next two sceneries will be a series containing three major Irish airports. Dublin will be first followed by a Shannon-Cork package."...

I'm glad that we'll see Shannon at last... but nervous about quality though :o
