Hello,
I want to tell you what I have discovered.
Basic:
In some post here in the Forum and on another Forum there are many Questions to Animate the c_wheel.
Fr. Bill Leaming have me showing the way to solve my Problem.
He wrote in the FFDS Forum:
Fixed Gear -
0 = blank position and rotation key set
100 = 0º
125 = 90º
150 = 180º
175 = 270º
200 = 360º
The reason I set a frame at 150 is because quite often FSX will interpolate the value incorrectly if using the schema outlined by Tom with the result that in the sim the nosewheel isn't always "straight" but is canted at a slight angle. Needless to say, this is rather disconcerting visually! Shocked
I've also found that X2MDL.exe won't calculate the animation correctly unless there are empty keys set at frame 0. Simply typing a range of 100-200 in the Animation Tool's dialog doesn't work as suggested by the SDK... undecided
So, I set empty keys at frame 0 and then enter a range of 0-200 in the Animation Tool's dialog.
Retractable Gear -
0 = 0º
50 = 90º
100 = 180º
150 = 270º
200 = 360º
I tried this and for my TD-Wheel it was not right but a little bit.
My TD-Wheel was in wrong position.
In FS9 they stand like a c_wheel for an Cessna Model, not for a
Taildragger.
Now I go back to GMax and turned my Wheel on 180 Degrees.
Than I export it again and -- hurray -- it stand in proper Position.
Then the Function-Test.
I turn the Rudder and the Wheel turned exact the degrees how the
Rudder turn.
Than the Joystick-Test - wonderful - it follow exact the Joystick.
When i go left, the wheel turned left and in the other direction exact the same function.
Now a little secret i must tell you:
0 = 0º
50 = 90º
100 = 180º
150 = 270º
200 = 360º
this is the degrees for the keyframes - okay it will work maybe for the cessna frontwheel - but not for my DO28 Taildragger wheel.
Here are the keyframes for my TD wheel, I named it c_wheel.
0= 0º
50= 115º
100= 180º
and now the next rotation in the counter direction
150= 230º
200= 360º
I will try to make a picture.
