View Full Version : [FSX] Are the textures embedded into the library?

I have created a few libraries from FSX MDL files I created with the SketchUp->Collada->Model Converter X chain. With it I then compile the
library (BGL).

I have a doubt now, is the library a mere container of BGLs so that I still need to deploy the Textures used by all the models imported into the library? or are the textures embedded into the BGL?

Hi,
Object textures not embedded

Thanks for the info Alain, that clears up that nagging question :-)

Just to confirm. Libraries contain only the model information including pointers to the textures used. The textures themselves need to go into the companion texture folder to the scenery folder in which the library is placed.

So the library BGL is a container of the MDL files. Only the resample terrain BGL format contains textures in the BGL itself.
