Hello,
is it possible to add cloud layers with cloud base and top altitudes in SimConnect, just like you do in the Weather dialog box?
Looking at the SimConnect docs, it seems that the METAR only contains the base altitude for a cloud layer. When I query it for a cloud layer, I get the base altitude minus 200ft. When I set the altitude for a cloud layer, it's top gets set to 10000ft above the base.
I am wondering if it is indeed not possible to specify base and top altitudes for layers (as was possible with FSUIPC), or I am missing something?
Thanks!
