Hi @ All

I´m actually working on a fsx version of my bk117 and
I tried to install the fsx sdk. In the tutorial they said,
that i have to copy the files from the folder 3DSM7 into the
gmax plugins folder. The files are: FSModelExp.dle ; FSX Animations.ms and so on. After doing this and starting gmax, gmax said that these files could not be initialized! The exact
Error report is:

DLL <C:\gmax\PlugIns\FSModelEXP.dle> failed to initialize

The same report is given on the other files!

So, Please help! Why does gmax not initialize these files?

Thanx so far

best regards

No.1 Make sure you install the SDK and updates to match the version of FS that you have. If you have updated to FS-X Acceleration, install the SDK update from the ACceleration Disk (unless you've already updated to FS-X SP2, and SDK SP-2, then no need to re-install the Acceleration SDK update.)

To get the gamepack into gmax, COPY the folder FSX_GmaxGamepack (installed by the SDK to: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Environment Kit\Modeling SDK) to your c:\gamx\gamepacks folder, so you'll end up with

C:\gmax\gamepacks\FSX_GmaxGamePack

and all the neat folders, etc. to happily drive yourself nuts with gmax.

And don't forget to start GMax with the FSX shortcut found in the gamepack after that. Then it should work like a charm...
