Hello all

Now the question is, how do I manage do get the very precise and exact coordinates of that chimney.

The house is placed N57 56.73/W153 0.38, but of couse the chimney is not really in that point so the smoke shows slightly at the side of the chimney. Looking on FSX coordinates is not enough, there must be a way to find out by looking from top down and placing the red cross ecxactly over the chimney, but coordinates do not change by making only very small steps in the two directions! It always shows the same. Should I use decimals, and if yes, how to display decimals in coordinates showing in FSX?

Thanks a lot for a hint to that.

I do many "out in the boondocks" airfields. Mostly on deep ravines and out of the way mountain gorges...in those places they either place "lighted oil in steel drums" or have a cheap --made in China- 2 cycle petrol generators (the real cheap ones):D...
I have been trying to make a " string of low intensity lights", never like the bright FSX airport ones, with 20 or so "bulbs". They will go on both sides of the field. If the pilot has 20-20 vision he will see them when he is very low..dangerously low!!!..any suggestions?. I have made some lights in FSDS 3.5 but they are so "lo-brightness" that not even with 40-40 sight they can be seen!!!!!!.....so for the mean time I cheat when I make a landing surface for them. I make the airfield put a taxiway the same width under it, then delete the surface and leave the taxiway with its dim blue lights!!!!!...boy are they dim!!!!:eek:....thanks.

Ps. When I flew, a long time ago, I found one field at around 6:30 PM with low fuel, out in the jungle, with these wonderful low watt bulbs just waiting for me!!!!! since then I have a space in my heart for these lights....they probably saved my neck!!!!!:scratchch:scratchch:eek::eek:

I've been working on a Cessna 152 for a little while now and I'm currently in the process of texturing it. I've run into a problem where I've applied a texture to the window but accidentally applied the wrong texture but since then I've saved so I've tried to remove the texture other ways unsuccessfully. Getting rid of the UVW gizmo and unwrap remove the texture but leaves the polygons white and I can't apply anymore textures to it using the material editor. Dragging textures from the material navigator will overwrite the current one so I dragged a "none" texture to it which overwrote the previous one but for some reason when applying a completely new texture using the material editor, the old texture gets applied and I have no idea how it remembers the old texture. Is there some sort of way to properly get rid of the texture? I'm still not familiar with all the workings of gmax. Thanks. :)

However,
in free-flight there's also a limited set of rewards,
e.g. granted for landing at specific airports, (8 rewards, 17 airports total).
Visit Series

This is my first post here. It is excellent to have a forum dedicated to flight sim develpment. Nonetheless, I've begun work on an AI British Aerospace jetstream 31 model. I've completed most of it, but have not yet completed the nose section. I was wondering if anyone had techniques or help on how to model the nose.
Thanks,
