• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Air to air in multiplayer aircraft drawing range

Very interesting explanation about the LOD. Thank you. I am surprised by SmallPartRejectRadius = 1. I have always thought that right value was 0, not 1.

Air to air in multiplayer aircraft drawing range

Hi Tisor, we are using smallpartrejectradious, but unable to get a good visual further than 2 nm. Any other idea?

Model (mdl) and FDE (.air) are related ?

Sergio: AFAIK no changes in contact points, CG, engine possition, aerodinamical areas, ... We are really surprised....

    FSXA Drag vs AOA

154a is mach vs drag for FSX. Better than old 430, because you can set the point wherever you want. And you will need to edit 517 to get enough elevator to get max Gs at some speeds but limiting it at others Diego

    FSXA Drag vs AOA

I have a complete set of gauges for test, with a lot of data. I will send them to you later

    FSXA Drag vs AOA

Using cfg edition you screw it up. Leave it at 1. I think that FSX is not ready to properly simulate a delta wing... But you can try some tricks... totally empirical... decrease CL vs AOA slighly under real parameters and meanwhile increase lift in 401 at low mach. Increase slightly drag in...

    Good one! Thank you! Diego

    FSXA Throttle null zone

Well I answer to myself. FSX null zone seems to be buggy. Using fsuipc.dll calibration settings it works perfectly Diego

    FSXA Throttle null zone

Testing some planes, I noticed a problem in FSXA joystick throttle management. Maybe you can help me to overcome it. Tables 1503 and 1504 are scheduled to get 100 % CN2 at sea level. I can get 100% using F4 in keyboard but not using joystick. Using it I only reach 99.6%. I have tested with...

Joe, could you show us your 456 table. I am curious about it. Thank you Diego

    Angle of Attack Limit

And take care about another item: AOA is not the same as alpha. Alpha: degrees as unit of measure AOA: arbitrary units depending on the aircraft. In some manuals you can get the conversion to degrees, in others you don't have anything... Diego

    Angle of Attack Limit

Ok, use the complete air file that you have in the PM. Not only 404 is important, 401 table is very important too, and I remember copying it directly from the Bis manual... Diego

    Angle of Attack Limit

    Hi Joe, Is your plane a mig21? I tweaked it some time ago, specially table 404. I took real world data ( let me look for it) but this is the AAM 404 exported table: Points: 22 -3.1416 0 -2.7489 0.3599 -2.3562 0.5 -1.9635 0.3599 -1.5708 0 -1.1781 -0.3335 -0.7854 -0.6665 -0.3839...

    Thrust and altitude

I have a problem trying to adjust mig21bis engine performance I have managed to adjust the real figures at max dry power and afterburner at sea level. But with height they are not performing like the real thing. Yes I can adjust afterburner power at mach speeds not reached at low level...

    Afterburner fuel flow

I have a problem with the afterburner. I am getting correct figures regarding fuel flow when on ground, but once I lift off, the FF it is increasing and increasing until 5-6 times the right figures. Any idea of the reason of that behaviour and how to solve it? I have added right specific fuel...
