Point in the Right Direction

Ok I'm lost. I need someone who can give me a general idea on how to make 'Air Show Scenery'. Can anyone tell me what programs I need etc?

PS I looked at the FS Developer Wiki and I don't know where to start!

Thanks for replying. Firstly I would like to design some Air Show scenery for Avalon Airport in Australia, because in 2011 A panel of people (including myself) would like to Host Virtual Avalon. These are the things we are looking into:

Air show Scenery
Show-side Commentary Team

Air Show Scenery- Design and create Air show scenery for Avalon Airport Australia.
Show-side Commentary Team- I have seen it before, and it can be done. We are thinking of having a Show-side commentary team to work alongside. This means having people with microphones that can (if possible, walk around, talk, sit etc).
