Trimble Navigation buying Sketchup

Google is selling off Sketchup and the 3d warehouse to Trimble. Claim is that freeware users will continue to be supported, but I guess time will tell.

I don't think anyone was "suckered". No reason at all why a person shouldn't take advantage of a free 3d modeller, and no reason at all to presume that your tool of choice won't be bought by a different company in the future as well.

Hopefully this will add some new features in the future. Sketchup still is the easiest program to use if you just want to make some buildings for a scenery and very easy to learn.
