• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I guess there will be some confusion as we seem to have two current versions. So here goes:
  • Version 1.61 has been the current production version for some time now and is still available to install. It will however be removed in the next week or two.
  • Version 1.65 is the next production version and will replace 1.61 shortly. The only reason that 1.65 is has not replaced 1.61 is that we are still fixing one or two bugs but more that we are making sure that the documentation for the new release is available via the on-line help system. Helli is working on the manual updates of course.
  • 1.65 is a separate install to 1.61 and we are encouraging users to install it. A new feature of 1.65 lets you copy your settings and data from an earlier version so it is easy to install 1.65 in a new folder, import settings from 1.61 and work with 1.65. We recommend users to retain the earlier version until they are satisfied 1.65 works for them and until we remove 1.61 from the download list.
So if you have 1.61 please download 1.65 and use it. If you have something earlier (there are still some 1.5 versions in use it seems) then download 1.65 now. You can import settings and data from 1.55 into 1.65.

1.61 is no longer receiving updates. All updates and fixes are now going to 1.65.

Download for both versions are available from here: http://www.scruffyduck.org/downloads/

and the online help has articles to get you going with 1.65. Just look for the 1.65 tag. You can get to the on-line help site either by using Help from inside ADE (F1 or the Help Menu) or by going directly to: https://scruffyduck.screenstepslive.com/s/help_docs/m/20268
