I did set "Access All Drives=True" in AIFP.ini
If I set "Open FP Editor on Startup=True"
I get the error (twice) on startup before the editor dialog is displayed.
According to the pdf:
8.2 Creating a New Aircraft List from Aircraft Folders –
The contents of the Aircraft List may be replaced at any time with a list of aircraft based on the aircraft installed on your system.
To initiate this action, click Aircraft / Create Aircraft List. The Collect Aircraft dialog will be displayed.
The list may be based on one of:
the aircraft available to FS9 (if FS9 is installed),
the aircraft available to FSX (if FSX is installed), or
the aircraft contained in a set of aircraft folders you select.
If you choose the latter, you will be presented with a directory tree so you can select the aircraft folders of interest.
There is no such menu item.
If I select "Bulk-Add Aircraft to List", I get the same error and all I can do is check the radio button "Select" then check the drive containing AI aircraft, but on clicking "Continue" no aircraft are displayed:
All I can do is drill down the directory list and select a single aircraft.
After clicking on "Continue" it seems to do thousands of disk reads before starting the collection and without a progress bar
It collects all airports on the drive rather than only those in active scenery areas.
Perhaps the drive option ought to be removed and only active areas from the scenery.cfg should be scanned.
The only way I can see to add airports sensibly is via a TTools airports.txt file.
George, AIFP2 is not yet released (and won't be for at least a month). Please report any further problems directly to me via e-mail.
So I thought this was the place for comments.
