I know this is probably pretty basic but I just started. I am using FSDS V3 and when trying to create a library it seems I am missing a GUID. How do I assign that or get one for my model? The error is as follows:

I hope this is in the right spot. Thanks!

    Hi,

The tool should create a new random GUID for you, so that you don't have to worry about that.

Which version are you using (1.0 or the 2.0 alpha)? Could you as attach the created XML file so that I can see what the problem is.

    Hi,

I tried to reproduce your error here, but I can't yet. I can compile without errors here. So a few more questions:

    • Are you sure you are using the Fs2004 BGLComp to compile?
    • Which version does show at the bottom right of the screen? Does Library Creator XML tell you it thinks it is a Fs2004 library?
    • Are you using a GMax template XML or have you created a new library from scratch with Library Creator XML?

Forget my last post. It is indeed a bug in Library Creator 2.0. It is something with the Fs2004 XML code, while I had mainly test it with FsX. I'll try to fix this bug this evening.
