• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I had the time and remodeled Joey's main panel and mixture knobs. The old panel that came with the purchased mesh wasn't suitable for editing to the current shape of the new one, hence the remodeled version. Mixture knobs have been modeled and textured as well with remaining parts to be textured. Next up, is to cut out the holes for the 3D gauges ;)

Some current exterior shots of Joey while adjusting and testing the beacon light flash rate. Interior and panel work is ongoing and will be previewed when the time comes.

So cool :D how much "realism" you plan to add? (compared the the real aircraft :)

Engine management, structural failures (when airspeeds are exceeded), icing effects (flying through snow/ice), live payload and fuel manager. Different avionics setups are planned as well including support for the F1 GTN and GNS packages, but these will take time as I don't own those products yet since access to the SDK requires me to be an owner of these products.

Trying out Joey's new seats for the first time in FSX, pilot's seats still left to be modeled. Poly count is close to 275,000 and climbing, frame rates are still good so far....

And a 3DS Max render of all the seats minus the pilot's seats....

Work continues....

Dang... I never knew these planes could carry that many people. That must be one heck of a strong airframe. Nice work on the seats.

Are you using Max? If so, did you know you can increase the mesh, then use Push in Polygon mode to create wrinkles in the seats? Works pretty cool, but it builds up polygon counts quite a bit. Probably not good for the back seats.
