• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

title says it all really lol, im making custom scenery and airports for hawaii, im not a pro developer, i just like to mess around in fsx and see what i want to see, id hazzard a guess and say there was quite a bit of general aviation traffic around the islands so i want to create this in fsx, but i dont want them all doing the same thing and following the same route, is there a way i can make them follow diffrent routes ? and maybe create custom routes so i can have them flying around the islands but below the mountain tops ? i use AIFP2 but am open to trying out new programs to get the best results if it is needed

Many Thanks

Well, with AIFP you can have as many different planes on as many different routes as you can write. Not sure what you mean by custom routes.

Sorry, i should have been a bit clearer, basically, i want an aircraft to take off from honolulu, fly around the islands within its range and then come back without it landing at any other airport, all ive managed to achive so far is a line of aircraft following each other, what im looking to do is get them to follow diffrent paths around the islands, just astho i would if i set my own aircraft flight plan, this way i could have aircraft visiting diffrent areas of the islands, instead of all of them in a convoy annoying a few select areas lol, ive been looking at waypoints, but im not sure if they work with AI, i hope this is a little clearer lol

One way of doing this is to have airports in the sky,,basically you have invisible airport at altitude for example 2000ft,,then you plan your fight with AIFP to touch n go at these airports.
It can get complicated and messy with airports every where but it will give you the desired effect of route following.
I dont know any other way but if you find one let the forum know.
