As some will know I have been looking for statics to dress and airfield and met the problem that there are few available and fewer still of the correct type, so taking the advice given here I made my own, I have put together a simple tutorial as I went along that may help others with this problem.

it gives simple to follow directions on how this can be achieved, editing to add additional placements ect.

    hope it helps someone.

    Placing Static Aircraft

    Hello Cypherus,

I was attracted to your small tutorial.

I encounter a (hopefully small) problem, when I reach the step "Save Source File Set".
Sometimes I get an error note saying that the value "00.00" in ELEVATION is not a correct floating point value. But always I get the error note "I/O Error 32". After OK I am switched back to the"Enter Location"-Window, with the values under "Longitude" marked blue.
I have to add that I leave the default values for Meigs Field.

I searched the Help file, but no success.

I tried to reach the author of MDLtoBGL Trevor de Stigter, but I did not get an answer yet.

Do you have an explanation, what goes wrong?

    Helli
