As the SimConnect dll file comes with the SDK, which you can only get with the deluxe version of FS, are you allowed to include it in the distribution of an application? Or is the user expected to have that dll installed on their system already in order for SimConnect to work?

    Thanks!

    Hi Russell.

I thought installation of simconnect was part of all FSX installations... not just the deluxe version. It wouldn't make sense if simconnect was not available.

So I don't need to include it in my application then?

You don't include any sim connect dll. Simconmect install is part of the FSX install.

The deluxe version has the SDK, inside the SDK you can find a standalone simconnect setup that allows a user to install a remote simconnect.
