I noticed the other day that you have to create a new aircraft file every time that you loaded the program, unless that specific aircraft is in your current flight plans opened.

One way to deal with that would be to load a plan that has the planes you want, delete the flight plans, and add new ones.

Or create an aircraft file that contains most/all of the aircraft you use that file as the starting point for each new flight plan file. AIFP will delete unused aircraft (if you wish) prior to compiling, so unnecessary memory consumption by the traffic file is not an issue.

Don, I'm seeing how to save an aircraft list, but not how to reload it.

So..."Load New Aircraft Text File" means "Load New Aircraft Text File". I saw that but I thought it ment "Lets order pizza".

    Oh, Baby!

I guess I'm easily confused. There's a "Save Aircraft List" option, and I was looking for a matching "Load Aircraft List" option. The "New" threw me off. My college degree was in Music, not English.

The reason for the "new" is because the Aircraft List gets loaded automatically whenever a Flight Plan or traffic file is loaded. It really should say "Alternate" - a change I'll make for the benefit of Music majors.:D

Or no adjective (I had to look that up) at all. Although now that I know what it does, no change is needed. I could not find anything in the manual about it. Maybe that's where the change could be.

There's a brief mention in section 8.1. Do you think I need more?

I had seen that also. I had thought that "New" had more to do with making a new list ( even though there is another option for this) rather that loading an old one. Well, I've already made an idiot of myself on this, so maybe everything is OK.

You do know how to get a musician (or engineer) off your doorstep?
