Opinions on night ground textures....

    Was looking for a little opinion or advice. For those who have created photoreal night ground textures do you prefer to make a duplicate raw .bmp and work with that and then process it down to a DXT1 or do you prefer to process your .bmps first and then edit them for night using the smaller 10231000xxxx_1024_Lm files?

    My raw .bmps are 15MB each while the processed Hi-res files of the same are 699Kb each. Seeing pros and cons both ways so I thought I would shout out here.
