Started work on this very busy multi use airport, located in the heart of San Juan's Convention District. This airport is the proving grounds for most aviation students in the region. Scenery will feature multiple Aviation Schools, FBO's, Army National Guard Aviation facilities, commercial terminal, and fully (internally) detailed Police Aviation hangars (also known as FURA).
One very cool feature about this unique airport is that the pattern goes around the Old San Juan neighborhood, a 400 year old city....full of Spanish fortresses and walls. Visual approach will take you over the beautiful San Juan harbor inlet, next to El Morro Fortress and will have you flying over the Bacardi Distillery in Cataño. Departures will have you making a low altitude hard left climbing turn over the Hilton Resort.
The plan is to make the scenery fully compatible with Latin VFR's TJSJ.
As a simmer, you will find TJIG very useful. It is a very busy corporate airport. Considered the "Van Nuys" of the Caribbean, many corporate flights will end here, with VIP's transferring to lighter aircraft onto their final reclusive destinations. Ribas Domicci completes the East Puerto Rico Riviera Triangle - San Juan - Culebra - Vieques.....all featured by PhotoRico
