Has anyone figured out the format of the .WX weather file ?

I would like to Programatically edit the weather, and then reload the FLT file ( & associated weather file), to change the weather.

Setting up each weather station manually in the FSX Weather GUI is far to time consuming.

In any case, I would like to do it automatically with a program.

I assume the Active SKY guys have figured it out --- so is the format available anywhere. Hopefull some wx2xml and xml2wx utilities ??

Editing .wx files does not appear to be an issue with "REX" - "Real Environment Extreme".

Their weather file is a TEXT file, that is just a list of Metars, in standard Metar format. :)

Should open up some interesting weather development possibilities.
