FSXA Texture mapping with 3DS-file

    Hi Arno,

    I have a new challenging object for you ;)

    Here is a Sketchup picture of the "object":

    As you can see at the marked positions there are some minor bugs in the source file.

    When I convert the object from Collada to FSX-MDL-Format the textures look fine but the minor problems are naturally still there.

    So in the next step I tried to convert it to 3DS and repair the errors, but look at the result. The texture mapping is completely wrong:

    So the texture mapping to FSX-MDL seems to be correct but the same object converted to 3DS causes that problem.

    Here is the source file with DAE, SKP and Texture files and also the 3DS-File I generated.

    It looks like texture sheets need to be flipped for use in 3DS

    Hi,

    I would first test to flip the texture indeed. Especially if you are using a DDS texture that can easily be the reason.

    If that does not help, please let me know, then it might be a bug.

    Just started a quick test and after vertically flipping the textures it works perfect. Thanks for the quick hint and sorry for the confusion.
