    My question is in regards to weapons effects on aircraft in FSX. I would like to find out how many points as in the X coordinates equal 100 meters.
    Example: (my missile effects for the default F/A-18 in Acceleration)

    [SmokeSystem]
    smoke.0= -35.00, 7.00, -6.1, fx_rocketDetach ,
    smoke.1= -35.00, -7.00, -6.1, fx_rocketDetach ,
    smoke.2= -27.0, 7.00, -4.1, fx_smkpuff_m ,
    smoke.3= -27.0, -7.00, -4.1, fx_smkpuff_m ,
    smoke.4= -20.0, 7.00, -5.1, fx_rocketp ,
    smoke.5= -20.0, -7.00, -5.1, fx_rocketp ,
    smoke.6= +2400.0, -7.00, -150.1, fx_explosionOiltankHuge.fx
    smoke.7= +2400.0, 7.00, -160.1, fx_explosionOiltankHuge.fx
    smoke.8= +2400.0, -7.00, -150.1, fx_explosionOiltankHuge.fx
    smoke.9= +2400.0, 7.00, -160.1, fx_explosionOiltankHuge.fx

    The first set of coordinates "2400.0" places the explosion far ahead of the aircraft where the missile would detonate at. How do I figure out the distance if I want the impact point to be say at 2000 meters?

    Hi,

    Definitely not the wiki.
    As it concerns effects, why not ask your question in the forum/development/ scenery design/effects?

    Thanks, Jon,

    I know there is some confusion. Sometimes it is feet and sometimes it is meters.
    Have you tried 'feet'?
