• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

I'm currently doing a small airport located in malaysia. Its called Tioman Airport. I used SBuilderX and got the coordinates from google itself. But when i tried it out in FSX, its not aligned! Any help with this? I tried to calibrate but its not working either! How do i get it aligned with fsx?

Just because it's misaligned doesn't necessarily mean that it's incorrect. Keep in mind that FSX stock data is quite old and has been replaced by newer, more accurate data. Especially in places other than Europe and the US.

While creating the shoreline vector and waterbodies for Solomon Islands X, I found in some cases that the islands in default flightsim were off by quite a bit. If I were you, I would exclude and retrace that island in SBuilderX (http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/how-to-make-a-island-in-sbuilderx.18328/) and download some higher resolution SRTM DEM's (mesh) from https://earthexplorer.usgs.gov/ (Video tutorial here:

Hi all,

I also have a problem with alignment.
I use SBuilderX 3.14 (64bit) and work with P3Dv4.
I made a photorealistic background for my EBBL Kleine Brogel / Belgium airport.
The background has been perfect.
But if I insert this background into P3Dv4 then there is a problem with the alignment.
The background is something left and too much to the north.

How can I fix this?

Peter, as pointed out in the post above, many default airports are not likely to be in the exact correct position. It is likely that your photoreal is correct and that the airport needs to be moved to match it. Try looking into Airport Design Editor. Their is a forum here dedicated to this and I'm sure there are explanations on how to move an airport.

Thx Mousy,

I have the Pro Key version of ADE.
So I can usually move the airport.
I will look after the holiday.

The only thing that did not work was the starting position.
My airplane was not at the startposition .
I change it manually and everything works perfectly now

I would almost forget: the result
EBBL Kleine Brogel Airbase / Limbourg / Belgium .
The 349 Squadron is almost ready for P3Dv4 .
