• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Hello! A little PBR preview of an air conditioning unit at Kaunas fire station. I will be releasing a video on it soon.

Ok, so I was thinking. How about I could make a tutorial on PBR materials. From exporting to applying PBR materials and exporting to P3D. Let me know if that would be useful.

I think you should create a video on how to create PBR texture because the video on post #48 doesn’t show how to assign each map to create PBR texture for P3D use. So if you could really show an example for a particular model it would be very helpful. It should cover everything from creating albedo texture, metallic, AO, gloss and assign each texture to appropriate channels (red, green and alpha), import into MCX and export to P3D. By this even a novice could learn it. I hope you could do it so it will be helpful for everyone.

Pbr wet surface preview. Ignore everything else, this is just a test scene.

And a video of night time

Ps. I also have a discord server, where I post updates more frequently. ;)
Is there any particular texture or settings on MCX to make the PBR wet surface?

Hello. I will try to make the video whenever I'll find some free time. And I won't be using MCX. I would be importing models to max, applying textures, exporting, .x files, converting to mdl, and then .bgl, I'm also going to convert textures manually using the ImageTool.exe.

And no, I did that with max, I didn't apply anything, I just wanted to see how would it look when it's wet (if it makes any sense).

Cheers
