• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Success I think. Build with no errors reported. Just checked my aitport and the gates are now set OK, but using the default positions as set by Asobo not too good with nosewheels close to the edge and 'default' vehicle positions on the grass. GA apron is bang on.
I have noticed that a couple of buildings shown in the untouched bespoke EGGP are now missing. I will try adding them back in at some point.

Thanks very much for your input all, especially Jon who has produced this exceptional bit of software.

- the radius setting foesn't count the 6 extra meter area for vehicules around the actual stand. So a 18-m stand will accomodate 18-m radius models or less, and the total radius accounted by the sim is 24 meters (meaning two neighboring stands will have to be saparated by 48m+ to be both assigned by the sim at the same time.
I have used a stock airport and modified the gates. Airliners still park even if the „extra 6m area“ does overlap. So the gates can be arranged a bit closer.

Will check if airliners park if the gate area overlaps. Or anyone already tested?

Allright, interesting. Maybe Asobo did fix this in one of the latest update, which would be a good move.

After thinking that I am making some progress with control of parked aircraft with changes to cfg files, it just gets worse. After the latest update I'm getting all kinds of aircraft parked in gate positions. This includes the new with SU6 Pilatus with floats. I checked the cfg file and it shows isAirTraffic=0 as is the case for the others.

My mistake: As previously reported, if the extra areas overlap, the sim will only park at one gate and not at both. For the sim to park aircrafts at both gates, the extra areas should not overlap at all.
