• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    FSXA In-process dll example

I'm looking to create an add-on dll for FSX and saw an example listed on the old ESP developers website. Unfortunately the download link for ESPDllSimConnect doesn't seem to work any more. Does anyone happen to have this sample file squirrelled away anywhere they could share or have a simple...

    FSXA EGAC ILS 22 problem

Jim and Jon make good points and I think it is in no one's interest to make a complex affair even more complicated! Assuming the stock data is left as is, I'd be happy if I could add a ILS/DME 04 to EGAC. I don't know if this can co-exist with the default LOC 04. When I tried just to add...

    FSXA EGAC ILS 22 problem

I believe that the 'old' HDB LOC/DME is being introduced by ADE from its own FIXLIST.DAT. Thus when a stock airport is opened, ADE combines the navaids from the relevant APX?????.BGL and FIXLIST.DAT. Would be nice to be able to update this fixlist.dat such that inconsistencies introduced by...

    FSXA EGAC ILS 22 problem

No problem, I think that's a very reasonable position. Thanks for ADE and the excellent support of it.

    FSXA EGAC ILS 22 problem

Looks like the problem is of my doing .... I had installed an updated navaid package from http://www.aero.sors.fr/ which replaced the stock APX46120.BGL with one which had IHBD ILS 04 added. When I recompiled EGAC with this change, although the new BGL showed the additional ILS IHBD 04, I...

    FSXA EGAC ILS 22 problem

Using ADE 1.66, I wanted to modify EGAC airport and decided first to simply recompile from stock before introducing my changes. I put the resulting BGL file into my Addon Scenery folder and tried an ILS 22 approach. The default Cessna could not pick up the GS on the ILS and upon inspecting the...

FS2004 Read loaded flight plan name

Tks for the pointer, I'll have a look at the example xml. I did scan through the "FS9 GPS Complete Guidebook" but found it a bit intimidating for my skilll level (but a fantastic piece of work). Will brew a strong coffee and have another go! Gerard

FS2004 Read loaded flight plan name

Hi Bob, I get the flightplan name from FSX and then read the waypoints from it into my program. I then record the actual flight positions at intervals and at the end write both sets of data to a file in the IGC standard format. IGC is the Intenational Gliding Committe governing gliding and...

FS2004 Read loaded flight plan name

Tks for the responses, Unfortunately FSUIPC doesn't have this information for FS9, I asked at Pete's forum earlier and he confirmed the flight plan filename is only available for FSX. I guess I was hoping that it was available though XML, perhaps via the GPS info, but I didn't spot...

FS2004 Read loaded flight plan name

I'm looking for a way to read the filename of the currently loaded flight plan within the sim. With FSX this is straightforward through simconnect, but any pointers as to how this may be approached in FS2004 would be appreciated. Gerard

FS2004 Read loaded flight plan name

To borgfan. Please pardon me as I can see this is an old thread, not sure when these enter the archive mode. I was just looking out to get the flightplan info. and I was able to extract it using: <Macro Name="c">C:fs9gps</Macro> <Macro Name="g">C:fs9gps</Macro> // this extracts from the...
