• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Blender to MSFS Exporter on day one?

Hello Guys I hope I am in the right thread here. After installing the MSFSToolset I see a attention symbol and an error message. The export to MSFS-glTF does not work, although the material editor and exporter are available and settings are possible (see pictures). I have the same problem...

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Arno, I have now tested the earth curvature correction with the current MCX developer version. This now works perfectly, even with vc already in the x-file. :D Great job. :stirthepo A great tool. Thank you again.

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Hello Arno, I am using the latest version of July 2019 - V 1.4.0.0 cbd41df3 DEV. When I make the earth curvature with the x-file and put the layout in the scenery, the outer areas still hover up to 20 cm high. At a size of 800 x 3000 m. If I have no visibility condition built into 3ds max...

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Hello Arno Hopefully you had a nice vacation. Thank you for your answer. Of course, I only apply the curvature of the earth once for a ground layout. If you want, I can send you an x-file for verification. :) I think the x-file created with 3ds max with visibility condition is not...

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Hey guys. That's how good I want it to be. Then I have to wait a little longer. But most adults here in Europe only have 2 to 3 weeks of vacation. Only the children have 6 weeks of vacation. ;-)

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Hello there, thank you for your comments and explanations. Let's wait for Arno to know what he says about the MCX problem with this "Earh curve correction" and "visibility condition". Christian I write you an email. ;-)

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Hello Christian, Thank you very much for the tip. :) It doesn't matter if I export with MDL, as you describe it, and load it into MCX or if I load the x-file into the MCX. If I remove the "visibility condition" for the seasons and load MDL- or x-file in MCX, then the "earth curve correction"...

Visibility condition in x-file and earth curve correction with MCX

Roby, that's right. But the problem is different. If the "visibility condition" is already installed in the x-file by 3ds Max and the "Prepar3D Attach point tool", then the earth curvature does not work. The polygon remains flat. I think it's a bug in the MCX. So it would be nice if Arno look at...
