• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    P3D v4 Prepar3D Version 5 - April 14

Very true, and on the face of it, P3d just got another boost: https://fselite.net/news/pmdg-update-prepar3d-v5-upgrade-information-747-coming-to-microsoft-flight-simulator/ So most of the people who have invested heavily on P3d will continue to enjoy their investment in p3d5.

Lots of negative posts everywhere on P3dv5. Certainly P3d5 is not FS2020. But one thing its important to note, no one is obligated to buy P3dv5. And also no one is obligated to wait for FS2020 to be released in order to enjoy a great sim.

MSFS -Everything you know about upcoming Flight Sim from Microsoft-

Is it safe to assume that the COVID19 situation might just delay development and even perhaps a proposed 2020 release of this?

The video shows that 3rd party developers will be needed for this sim to actually flourish. The airports will need a LOT of work for them to be at current (xplane-p3d) payware standards, even the ones they did.

    Will there be a P3D V5?

P3D nor XP are not dead, and FS2020 is creating too much expectations that will be hard to satisfy initially. Most of us will continue to have XP and P3D along with this new FS2020, because we are simply just too addicted to this hobby.

This is creating too much hype, I hope MS can manage these expectations once this is released and lives up to the hype created. So far so good.

I highly doubt we will have study-level aircraft out of the box. Perhaps the General aviation aircraft will be highly realistic but A320's and 747's such as those made by known developers, highly doubt. That's where the payware developers will come in. Initially I expect this sim to be great...

The alpha hasn't shipped yet. First they said 26th of October, then early November, then before thanksgiving. And no ALPHA in sight. I am starting to worry about the hype of this getting released early 2020 as they said.

I can't understand how any developer is promising stuff for MFS2020 if they haven't even seen the darn SDK yet. No one has.

I believe 3rd party airports will be possible. And I hope so because so far they have been omitting to show up close the detail on the 'default' airports. So far the detail looks generic but much better than what FSX came with from the box.

Methinks this is a late 2020 release... or for certain an early 2021... Its still in alpha and hasn't even be sent to test to a selected audience. Lets put the brakes on the internment release euphoria.

MSFS -Everything you know about upcoming Flight Sim from Microsoft-

I don't know but to me it seems that MS has hit a snag.. they seem delayed on updates and sending the alpha to those who are part of it. Its a bit too positive to believe this sim will be out early 2020, or even mid 2020. The hype it has created in the community and the excitement is I think...
