• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

    Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

    By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    Thanks scruffyduck for pointing me in the right direction!! AFCAD wouldn't accept a Runway width of "0". But a setting of just "1" foot did the trick. Now the runway is totally invisible. But as far as FS9 is concerned, the runway is still 8,000 feet long. Skiperoo:)

    I've done that, but still a semi-transparant texture appears. It is brownish in color. You can see the ocean beneath the runway. There are 3 "Unknown" textures listed in the selection menu within AFCAD2. And each one is semi-transparant. Or not fully transparant. Skiperoo:confused:

    With FSDS2 one could make wires and cables. That seemed to go away with FSDS3. I have managed to import my FSDS3 project into Gmax. Can someone tell me if it's possible to make wires and cables for my model in Gmax. And if so, the basic procedure to follow. Thanks:confused:

    Am attempting to convert an FSDS3 model for use in FSX, via FS2XPLANE, AC3D and then FSX-GMAX. I know that my FSDS3 model will work if I just drop it directly into FSX.     FSDS3 for FS X ?

    See Thru Textures I tried my FSDS3 ship model "USS Conyngham DDG-17" in the Demo version of FSX. Everything worked, except most all the textures were semi-transparent. Like having 3-D vision, you can see inside everything. Hopefully that issue will be resolved in the full release of FSX.:eek:
