• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

Help creating a audio loop for multiplayer sessions

Hello, I realize this thread is a little dated. I run a 24/7 server and have just the system you are seeking. Or at least the insight in how to make a go of it. Drop me a note if you are interested and I will provide you with details. Or stop by our website and inquire. Take care.

    Please a repainter needed

There are several painters at gotbush.org that may help. You might try there in th paint shop board in development. Many of them are members here as well but it might get you in touch quicker over there.

FSX Sound files in Mission building

As Jim suggested, try using a windows DING.WAV sound. You will find it in the OS folder in /sounds. Use that in your mission and if you still do not hear it then its not a file format issue. Let me ask, what tool(s) are you using to create the mission?

FSX Sound files in Mission building

Hi Jim, Without distracting too much from the thread here, why don't you either contact me, or create a new thread and I would be glad to assist. Been doing audio for years and know the tool well. And, there are other tools that might suit your needs a bit better as well.

FSX Sound files in Mission building

I will second that Audacity is a great tool and will do exactly what you need. Good choice there. Are you... Sample Rate: 11khz (or 22 if you seek FM radio quality, 44=CD quality) Bit rate: 16bps is good (8 is even fine for most things) PCM ? Did changing the bit rate solve your...

    Gamespy & LAN

Understood. And for some of those very reasons we have 24/7 direct connect. Some use it exclusively. Bypasses Lamespy completely. With the exception of the chat which still kicks in. A good thing I suspect. When we do STOL competitions, poker runs or other events, it comes in handy to have that...

    SDK: placing AI traffic?

I realize this is very old, but in case.. May I ask, what was you were/are trying to accomplish in the end result? I have a hunch I know, and may have a solution if its what I am thinking. :)

    Gamespy & LAN

I realize this thread is a bit dusty but I wanted to add. I have ran an FSX server for 3 years. I offer both Gamespy, and direct connection (to IP). I tried FSHost, but unless everyone uses it, they can not see each other. And the clincher, our operation utilizes the on board radio system, so...

    AI Traffic in Multiplayer

Update: AI Traffic in Multiplayer I know this thread is old but I found some interesting information on AI/Ghost aircraft in multi player and think it could be of use. While playing around with a camera mod (cameras attached to aircraft other than ones own) I discovered something. It seems...

    AI Traffic in Multiplayer

Hello again everyone, I have a question. I am very new to all of this and learning. Forgive me for my lack of understanding. I thought perhaps someone may know the answer. If everyone flying in the session is running a client, can those clients receive a signal from a server that would do an...

    AI Traffic in Multiplayer

Well Bud, there are some reasons to have AI in multi player. We have done this at times so zapping anything that moves automatically might be a bit harsh. Although it should be an option, deleting manually should be as well. We use AI in some of our live events. For example I plan on doing this...

    AI Traffic in Multiplayer

Having the the ability to delete AI at a point of choice would be wonderful. Even better would be have it take place after tow completion. But I realize it may not be possible to send a signal to all connected clients to do the same. Hot key it? Shift-Alt-Del = Delete all AI Shift-Alt-Y...

    AI Traffic in Multiplayer

Indeed Pete. They are an annoyance but as people join the slots get replaced. So it is not critical. The other issues discussed here is much more taxing on the system. (The AI) I, and others I am sure, appreciate it! Stick

    AI Traffic in Multiplayer

Pete and everyone, How would I go about getting the ID of these ghost ships? Let me give you a scenario. Right now I am looking at the control tower radar screen. I see 3 aircraft which match the session info list which includes user name, aircraft type. I have situation info, altitude...
