• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MCX Can we save parameters in Attached Object Editor?

I've been reseaching the light to find the best option(s) for my project. A test pad (100x100 m.) was made for the purpose. The 3D of the light pole (20 m. height) was placed at he half red dot. Then the ground polygon was processed with GPW, and the pole was processed with Convert and Place...

    MCX MCX 1.5 & 1.6 - Wizards Misalignment (P3Dv5)

Not sure if I did something wrong. I compiled ground polygon (let say 2000x45 m., a yellow strip runway) with the default Heading/Lat/Long changed to my preferences to a certain airport. I also compiled 3D objects (4 cubes at the corner of the runway strip, size 10m W x 10m L x 10m H. each)...

MCX Using LOD to Change Objects - Runway Lights

I know there is Airfield Light Toolbox out there for the purpose, but I'd like to try this one to see how it works. I created 3 different sizes of runway light sets, so the runway can be seen during the final approach (large white light), and the light details (small white light with bulb) can...

MCX Adding Spot Light and Light

There's no problem adding spot light to the model (a light pole was made in SketchUp -> Export to .DAE). I could modify the added spot light to my satisfaction. However, when I added light, I could on change a position of the light (X, Y, Z), but couldn't see the light beam (the wire frame)...

Had my MCX updated this morning local time, July 3rd 2020. Open model files (.DAE) and tried to export to .MDL, but got this message: This object has over 65535 vertices and can not be exported to FS2004 MDL Never experienced this issue before. Also, I didn't make change to any object, just...

FSX Climbing Water on Coastline from Default/Stock Airport(?)

I've been trying to trouble shoot this issue reading many threads, but still can't find the solution. I added a new airport project to both FSX and P3Dv4.5 library, they gave the same results. The red line shows the edge of, what I believe, a default FLATTEN polygons. The water cliff on P3D...

    Repositioning Google Map in Sbuilder

Hi all, I finished all of my photo scenery maker tasks and successfully put it into MSFS2004. During the process, I've mistakenly adjusted the map (didn't know when). As a result, when I load the map into Sbuilder, the position wasn't seem accurate any more!!! :( Before starting...
