• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

MSFS Blender cloth simulation baked to bones

It is actually still "only" within Blender. I haven't reached a point where I can export any of the project, sadly. It should be simple, yet it's one of the more complex steps in this project -.-

MSFS Blender cloth simulation baked to bones

Perhaps you could enlighten me on how I can move the animation to frame 0 then? 😅 As mentioned, when I drag the animation to start at frame 0, the animation won't start until the playback reaches its starting frame (63).

MSFS Blender cloth simulation baked to bones

Thanks for your answer. This appeared to be the issue regarding the plane "sliding" off the pole. It got me a bit further into animating the flag. I've gotten to section 7 in the tutorial, under: I have baked the first animation with the middle intensity of the wind ("1200"). In order to...

MSFS Blender cloth simulation baked to bones

I rotated the plane with the armature to face the positive Y-axis and then "realigned" them both roughly. I don't know if that is going to cause issues at some point, but I am at a loss - as mentioned, this is a steep learning curve to me. I now face an issue under the section 7 of the tutorial...

MSFS Blender cloth simulation baked to bones

So I have a question regarding the tutorial on creating my own custom animated flag. I am following @trfsd 's tutorial on this and have gotten to the third section, where I have added an armature (a bit off the cloth-plane as per the instructions in here) and thereafter bones and ensured to snap...

Changing the scale of a flag with "Windy Things"

That is very unfortunate. It's funny how the SDK shows and saves the "correct" scale of the SimObject when "reactivated" so to speak, but it doesn't transfer. I will try to look into making my own flag then. Thank you for your answer!

Changing the scale of a flag with "Windy Things"

Hello, I have a project including a default flag from the "Windy Things" add-on. The flag in use is the Danish flag: "tsr-DNK_flag_nopole" as I have created my own, custom, flagpole object. In this project, the flag will not display unless it's at scale "1". I need it to be larger in order to...

MSFS Emissive "lightbulb" in outdoor lamp (Solved)

@Frederico (Mamu) Your settings helped me out. I don't know what I had done wrong compared to our previous correspondance, but adding your settings and a "reflector" behind the bulb did the trick. I think it was the "Emissive Color" in the MSFS Material Parameters, which was set to "black" or...

MSFS Emissive "lightbulb" in outdoor lamp (Solved)

I have created a replecia of a house in Blender. The outdoor lamp over the doors of said building do not "illuminate", when it's dark, despite the light source is illuminating the building and ground. I have tried setting the lightbulb material as emissive with day/night cycles, but it does not...
