• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    How to test AI?

To see the AI do stuff i think you just have to wait. Maybe increasing the "sim rate" (the speed at which the simulator is running) can be helpful. (Go into the control settings in the sim to find out what key combination you need to increase the sim ate) You could also enable AI to fly your...

MSFS [GUIDE] How to create custom aerial scenery

If you made everything according to the tutorial as you say, then my best guess is that your edited .png file is the source of the problem

MSFS [GUIDE] How to create custom aerial scenery

No problem :) I didn't reference the .tif files, I referenced the combined .png image of the tif files. The combined .png image does not have any geographical data Use lower zoom levels ;) This creates bigger tiles covering bigger areas at the cost of resolution. But in my opinion, ZL19 is...

The TaxiPoint object does not have a Altitude/Elevation property, so It should not matter. It's just a bug in DevMode

How to add an overlay as blueprint

You are not supposed to place the whole "Packages" folder in the Community folder. Only the folder inside the "Packages" folder. :P As I mentioned in the start of the tutorial, you need to have experience working with scenery from before, or else you will encounter problems.

How to add an overlay as blueprint

The sim will freeze while building the CGL asset. Just wait a few minutes :) The bigger the aerial image, the longer you'll have to wait, it takes sometime to build.

How to add an overlay as blueprint

Looks like you missed a step in the guide. If you did this, and you are still recieving the CGLCompiler | No CGL builder descriptor XML found in, then you are missing a file that comes with the SimpleAerial example in the SDK. To fix this add a file called CGLBuilderConfig.xml in the the...
