Oh dear Gary......where did 'SCALE' come from ? I'm afraid the entry is far more mundane with this TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL=19 I though I might try adding SCALE but am worried what disasters might ensue so didn't. I was planning a flight in my Shorts 360 with it's new panel so it's probably...

The Antec (name on case) I make airfields with had TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL_SCALE=2.0. I changed it to 19 but that made no difference - Chattis Hill is on a raised area still. All my machines are high spec & the latest I call The Turing Machine runs FS9 & GW3 flawlessly which has...

Gary - I didn't see past 'PS: Regarding Chattis Hill:' so didn't answer you. In the machine I make my airfields for FS9GW3 with, the Chattis Hill Spitfire Assembly site appears to be on a large mound now. When I made it the surrounding area shared the same elevation & this chapel could be...

Hello Gary, having edited the ag_Rural texture I wondered what your advice would be about saving it via DTXBmp = Extended 32 bit 888-8 or Extended 256 colour ?

Good morning Gary. The repainting is over & this is what I've done. I'll fiddle with the windows & might extend the bottom window cills a bit more. I'm not sure about the tower windows either....... The interesting thing is this small airfield I made for FS9GW3 (Chattis Hill Spitfire...

Hello Gary. Thank you for your, as always, very full reply. I removed the huge modern cathedral & the power station with very tall chimneys. My plan is to change the colour of that wooden chapel in the hope it blends in with the surrounding scenery. Thanks too for the two links to those...

Apologies if this isn't the correct forum. Where in FS2004 is the texture for this chapel/church kept ? I have looked in Generic's texture folder but cannot see it. Thanks.

    Texture location ?

I'm using a ukvfrhousing object, the AG_3_house1. The texture is too bright. I'm having trouble locating the texture in the UKVFRLibrary texture folder. I removed all the textures from the folder intending to return them 1 by 1 until I found the one I want. BUT the object still appears with...

    Convert skp to fs9 bgl

I have a friend with a skp file of a WW2 hut he wants to put in FS9. I'd be grateful for advice for what software he'll need to do this. I know of modelconverterx but what else does he need to get ? Thanks. Terry Wallis

FS2004 Scenery Objects Editor button ?

Further to the above, I've checked my newest machine's FS2004 & see there are 6 of those large cathedral type objects near the stock EGHH. They're in quite different locations seen in the machine's screenshots above. FSGW3 in this machine doesn't have this object showing.

FS2004 Scenery Objects Editor button ?

Gary...............I followed your above advice & the objects have disappeared. Thank you. What started me off was seeing 6 in the EGHH area. Exclude files took care of 2 but this is inefficient. I then spotted this odd collection of buildings in a remote UK location which made me wonder...

FS2004 Scenery Objects Editor button ?

Hello Gary, I thought I'd been quite clear in my FlightSim.com topic & again here, that I just want to get rid of those huge cathedral/church objects that appear in the wrong locations & often in too great a number. Tom Gibson was kind enough to explain how this might be done & I'm following...

FS2004 Scenery Objects Editor button ?

Hello Gary, Original post: https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?312484-Buildings-file&p=2055472#post2055472 I made a backup copy of the generic file & put it in a ‘original’ folder. I removed the cathedral 169 with mcx & exported it as an fs9 bgl to a ‘save’ folder. I removed the...
