• Which the release of FS2020 we see an explosition of activity on the forun and of course we are very happy to see this. But having all questions about FS2020 in one forum becomes a bit messy. So therefore we would like to ask you all to use the following guidelines when posting your questions:

    • Tag FS2020 specific questions with the MSFS2020 tag.
    • Questions about making 3D assets can be posted in the 3D asset design forum. Either post them in the subforum of the modelling tool you use or in the general forum if they are general.
    • Questions about aircraft design can be posted in the Aircraft design forum
    • Questions about airport design can be posted in the FS2020 airport design forum. Once airport development tools have been updated for FS2020 you can post tool speciifc questions in the subforums of those tools as well of course.
    • Questions about terrain design can be posted in the FS2020 terrain design forum.
    • Questions about SimConnect can be posted in the SimConnect forum.

Any other question that is not specific to an aspect of development or tool can be posted in the General chat forum.

By following these guidelines we make sure that the forums remain easy to read for everybody and also that the right people can find your post to answer it.

    MSFS20 HUD daytime visibility

I neglected to specify that my question relates to the adaptation of an aircraft for MSFS. The HUD comes from "asobo-vcockpits-instruments" coded in html. I tried, without success, to increase the daytime brightness by modifying the lines: @keyframes blinking { from { opacity: 1; }...

    MSFS20 HUD daytime visibility

Hi, How can I increase the brightness of the HUD information? At dusk and at night the HUD is clearly visible, but not during the day. Thanks in advance Jean Day Dusk Night

MSFS20 Creation of an animated pilot for MSFS

Hi, I have a new little problem with the vision of the pilot or co-pilot. In the aircraft.cfg I added the co-pilot and, in the flight_model.cfg, the payload line for the co-pilot is: station_load.1 = 130, -1, 1.3, 1.0, TT:MENU.PAYLOAD.COPILOT, 2; The visibility code in the xml is: (A:pAYLOAD...

MSFS20 Creation of an animated pilot for MSFS

Hi Didier, Thanks for the full explanation. Everything is functional now. I only reset my model.cfg parameters like this so that the driver is invisible in interior view: [model.options] withExterior_showInterior=false withExterior_showInterior_hideFirstLod=false...

MSFS20 Creation of an animated pilot for MSFS

Hi Mamu, I added an empty "PILOT_0" in the exterior model of the plane. The aircraft.cfg file includes the section: [PILOT] pilot="Pilot_Male_Casual" pilot_default_animation = "Idle1_PosePropeller" pilot_attach_node="PILOT_0" and I modified the following line of the flight_model.cfg file to...

    MCX Export issue

Hi Arno, Thank you for this explanation which I was not aware of. I'll be careful next time. :)

    MCX Export issue

Until this latest version, I left the MCX folder in a download folder. After writing my previous post, I moved the MCX folder to the desktop. The problem seems resolved. Sorry for asking you about a simple location problem on my PC. Best regards P.S. I'm using the November 12 version. I will...

    MCX Export issue

Hi Arno, I contacted you on FSDeveloper regarding export issues from the latest MCX release. https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/threads/mcx-export-issue.457992/ By deleting the folder containing the .cfg file, everything was back to normal. However, today, it is impossible for me to open a model...

    MCX Export issue

Hi Arno After downloading the latest version of MCX, I can no longer export an mdl or dae or others. Then, when I exit MCX a screen appears stating that an unhandled exception has occurred. Failed to save settings: An error occurred while loading a configuration file: Access to the path...

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

This is unfortunately the ASOBO system. I am going to stop my research on this subject and move on to carrying out a career landing on my Clémenceau traffic. Thank you again for your valuable advice

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

That's what I assumed, to keep the animation of the meatball you have to use the ASOBO system, as in post #39. Do you have an idea to increase the visibility distance of this IFLOLS?

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

OK, so in the worldscript.xml, I currently have a container named AI_Carrier which corresponds to the cube. And a second container, named OpticalLandingSystem which is the visible object in MSFS and which contains the meatball If I create a third container calling my optical system, it will not...

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

What I don't understand is that the simple cube calls the full IFLOLS in MSFS. 1/ I can't get what appears in capture #25 of thetford569. 2/ If I replace the cube with an object, will the meatball remain visible?

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

I couldn't open the original gltf in blender. So, I used this subterfuge to bring the IFLOLS to ground level. Likewise I cannot modify the mesh since I only get a cube in blender. There remains the most delicate point: visibility reduced to around 0.7 Nm, which is not much. I agree with you, the...

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

For the IFLOLS device to be positioned at ground level, simply replace the number present in the SimObjects\misc\OLS\model\OLS.gltf with a zero, as in the screenshot below. Be careful, if you modify this value in the source file, it produces an error during compilation. I made the change in the...

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

Many thanks superspud, I spent whole days trying to solve this problem. I was able to add smoke and waves to the moving model, but I was still going through the deck. Well, I have work for the end of the year with finishing the plane, the stage and now the aircraft carrier.

superspud preempted my answer. I agree with his idea

    MSFS20 Optical Landing System

You are right, I have indeed noticed that the touchdown point is approximately in the right place but too high. For Blender I know the problem of x, y and z coordinates, having been confronted with it for each adaptation of the original FSX/P3D plane for MSFS. (including the N1101 Ramier on the...
