    P3D v4 Dynamic Reflections Testing

Yes, blocky texture. The above picture shows the difference between the orbs. But probably not related to your problem.

    FSX not sharpen!

This is a developer forum, not an end-user, problem-solving forum. You're better off going to AVSIM, or some other forum to ask such questions.

    P3D v4 Dynamic Reflections Testing

Hi Doug. I have a Nvidea 1070 with 8GB. I see the left-hand sphere is highly 'pixelated'. This causes a flickering of sorts on the left handed sphere as I move the aircraft. There are no yellow or gray blips. 1080p monitor settings.

I Would Like to Start Flying Flight Simulator X

Hi Delta. This is a developer website, and as such, questions about flight simming is better directed to websites for end-users, rather than developers. I would suggest you visit https://www.avsim.com/forums/

    Downloading OSM data

    I'm trying a slightly different approach. My query for cvx area 1207: <osm-script output="xml" timeout="2500"> <union> <query type="node"> <has-kv k="natural"/> <bbox-query e="-126.0711201" n="69.6070787" s="64.9611261" w="-135.5622099"/> </query>...

    SBX 3.15 without 3.14

What is happening is the particular tile server you are using only goes to zoom level 20 (at least in that geographic area).

FSX Whisplacer.....a really useful piece of Abandonware

Odd that your P3D can't use SimDirector. It's part of the program.

FSX Whisplacer.....a really useful piece of Abandonware

But P3D has the SimDirector, which does the same type of thing. And placement BGLs from SimDirector are valid for FSX as well.

FSX Whisplacer.....a really useful piece of Abandonware

The x-file->bgl creates a library object BGL. That needs to be added to the simobjects folder by Whisplacer. The resulting BGL from Whisplacer is a placement BGL. It doesn't contain the actual model. The Library object BGL came from MCX. Both the Library object BGL and the Placement BGL need...

FSX Whisplacer.....a really useful piece of Abandonware

I saved the WTC_MDM as an x file and then re-imported it, then saved as a FSX BGL. Remember to do 'maintenance' in order to add the object to FSX Simobjects folder. And library and placement BGLS in P3D:

FSX Whisplacer.....a really useful piece of Abandonware

It's possible those buildings are geographically locked. Importing them to MCX, and then exporting them as unlocked objects might work if so.

FSX Whisplacer.....a really useful piece of Abandonware

Yes. Whisplacer is available here: https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/resources/whisplacer.89/ https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/resources/whisplacer-thumbnail-package.88/

    SimDirector

I think if you place objects that are compatible with FSX, the BGL would be valid for both sims. I'm just guessing here.

    FSX Steam Edition

I would say everyone using FSX should probably start using the Steam version. It will ensure a few more years of being able to use your collections of addons. I would also say that everyone using FSX might consider a move to P3D in the future. Steam and Dovetail won't offer FSX in perpetuity...

P3D v4 MCX: Exporting groundpolys as MDL?

My test reveals SHP2VEC will reject shapefiles that are not ESPG:4326. I don't believe that the CVX bgls are corrected, as FS9 terrain BGLS will display in FSX. This leads me to believe they are not corrected at all, but it is the terrain display of both FSX and P3D.
