    Batch converting textures

I am trying to batch covert some textures from BMP to DDS to use with P3DV2. I have set up the wizard as per the manual (although it is portrayed slightly differently). When I select process I do not get any textures appearing in the output folder. What am I doing wrong here.

    FS9 objects in P3D

I have been trying to install some locally produced FSX scenery into P3DV2.3 however some objects do not appear. I believe that this is due to some of the objects being FS9 objects. What exactly prevents them being displayed? If this is so is there anyway that these objects can be...

    FS2004 Connect error

The previous version ran fine. I had not used the program for a while so I updated to the beta. Had a few issues with the install so tried again. Going back to the old version I still had the dialogue box appear. The only thing that uses the FSUIPC is the joystick, CH throttle quad and rudder...

    FS2004 Connect error

Correct and the issue still appears with the 1.51.45 Beta.

    FS2004 Connect error

Just wondering what would cause this error when trying to connect to sim:

    FS2004 Airways and Waypoint definitions

Thru trial and error I have settled on a process thats seems to work. I did have initial problems with recompiling the file after I mad a few mods. It seems that if I decomplile it using BGLX180 instead of NewBglAnalyze then it recompiles fine. I have also decided that having all the non airway...

    CompileHelper feedback

Are there any operating system limitations with this program? I am using Win 7 64 bit. When I use it I get the configuration dialogue box. I set the path to Bglcomp but that is all that happens. If I close it and drag and drop a file onto it the config page opens again and still shows the path...

    FS2004 Airways and Waypoint definitions

I am trying to update the default nav data base for NZ which is well and truly out of date. I have found the BGL file in Scenery/Ocen/scenery that is responsible for storing this data. I have also created a BGL file that contains all the waypoints within NZ. When I construct the new airways...

Full approach Transition - Leg types

Thanks Jim. The overhead transition is a bit more complicated than the course reversal PI leg type. It is actually a tear drop shape and is causing a few issues. Here is the approach plan view for NZPM in New Zealand As you can see the PM transition starts over the VOR and tracks outbound on...

Full approach Transition - Leg types

It always seems to be a battle to get a full approach transition (From overhead then a tear drop back onto finals) to work correctly. I have tried all sorts of things such as using a CD or FD leg outbound and then a DF or TF leg type to the first waypoint inbound on the approach with less than...

ADE using NDB and not VOR

Thanks very much Jim. This is what I have done previously for a fix. I was curious as to the why. Thanks for the explanation.

ADE using NDB and not VOR

I have noticed at a few airports that despite a leg type using a VOR the NDB is used instead. Is there a way to correct this? Here is an example of the deafult aaproach at NZHN in New Zealand. This is in FSX.

    Mindstar Garmin 1000

Do you know if there are any issues with GPS approaches with the Mindstar add on. I get quite bizarre results. Everything looks fine in ADE and also on the default FSX GPS but not with this unit. I do not get ARCs drawn. Holding patterns don't follow the magenta pattern and just do an orbit. I...

    Turning on finals

Here is the first pic with TF legs. Note that the track concerned is the one between the FF and the MA. I know the waypoint names are different in each example but the positions and leg values are the same. You can see the TF leg type has added the variation (around 23 degrees to get a true...

    Turning on finals

Thanks Jim. I will try to complile it from xml. I'm not sure how this one fits in with ARINC 424 protocols. As it is not related to a runway they have used the final approach track as the naming element hence the RNV248 name. The local rescue helicopters use it so presumeably it must fit...

    Turning on finals

I currently have XELAN as a transition with a HM leg. I prefer to use CF leg types as I get the correct magnetic track displayed in the GPS unit. The others seem to show a true track even though they have a small m after the degrees units. I am unsure as to how FS treats the declared FAF or IF...

    Turning on finals

Thanks Jim. In this case should XELAN be listed as an FAF or IF? Interestingly I flew this approach using the Nemeth Bros AS350 and it uses the Apollo MX20 GPS which shows no radius at all and flies the approach quite well. At this stage only the default FS GPS's have issues. Also is there a...

    Turning on finals

Perhaps an image might help. These are RNAV approaches to a heli base hence the short final leg.

    Turning on finals

Turning onto finals I am constructing an RNAV approach that only has a 5 nm final segment. The IF is XELAN and from there it is a 5 mile leg to the start of the missed approach at MA248. There are two transitions which have legs of 4 miles each and intersect at XELAN to form a 60 degree turn...
