I am getting this message when I am attempting to make detail changes at some airports. When I click on "Show XML source" it does not show me any clue as to what to do.
I tried to look for the updated BGL compiler using the link from the FAQ, but Microsoft doesn't have that download available...
Issue solved. Yep, changing that value took care of it.
And what I installed was not affected. When I install scenery, I unpack stuff or run the installers, pointing them to folders on my C: drive. Then I manually move the sceneries to where they should be on my E: or F: drives and then...
Bingo! Culprit found.
Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 the value in SetupPath was set to C:\Dnload\FSX\Work1.
The 2 other paths were not found.
Now, just asking before I do anything stupid,, but changing that value to F:\1FSX SHOULD...
I found the registry tool there, thank you.
It finds the Setup path for FSX at HKEY_LOCAL)MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0, and the App path at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0, and in both cases the path was F:\1FSX - as...
This morning I ran another autoinstaller, and it pointed itself to C:\Dnload\FSX\Work1 automatically.
So it appears the first autoinstaller changed a registry setting somehow, and Flight One's FSX Registry Reset tool does not fix that.
Does anyone know if this is something one could repair...
I also have GEX in my FSX installation, and last night used the GEX interface to see if there were any updates. The interface said it could not find FSX (apparently in the registry, like SAS), but then asked me to point it to the main FSX folder. After I did that, it remembered where FSX was and...
This is the path from SAS:
It's been like that forever. FSX is installed in F:\1FSX.
Just for fun, here's the scenery.cfg file in question. I had to append .txt to the file name to get it to upload.
Here you go.....
The thing is, in the scenery.cfg file refernced here, everything looks normal. This changed after I ran an autoinstaller to install some Chilean scenery to C:\Dnload\FSX\Work1 earlier today, before that everything worked normally.
I am not sure of where to place this question, so I thought I'd try here, since Simple Airport Scanner detected the problem.
I think an auto-installer screwed something up for me. When I run Simple Airport Scanner, I get the text shown in the attached file. The path shown is the one where I...
I'm trying to install ADE on Windows 10. So, of course I need to install the .NET Framework 2.0, Visual C++ 2005 and XML 4, so I could install SDK.
Visual C++ 2005 and XML 4 installed OK, but the Framework doesn't seem to want to install. What does one do now? :banghead:
Thanks in advance -...
I tried to load all the 34 bgl files into ADE. Only the one that attached to the first post in this thread would load, all the others did not contain an airport and would not load.
So, where could that overriding text come from?
Jorgen - with less hair than I had before....
Well, for sure I know that I don't have any duplicates, at least according to Simple Airport Scanner there are no duplicate files for LEDA.
As for priorities, I use Scenery Configuration Editor, and the original scenery is lower than my addons.
All the files for LEDA are in a separate folder...
I'm not sure what kind of issue I have here. I downloaded an airport (LEDA, Lleida airport in Catalonia, Spain), but I don't now recall from where.
In the airport list in FSX the names of the city, airport, provice and country are all in caps, plus "Spain" appears as the province and...
I've run into an issue, where I need to change the ILS frequency of an airport, now set to 118.0 MHz.
How does one do that?
Sorry if the answer is elementary, but I\m just getting into this again after a long wait for my new rig after moving.
Thanks in advance for any help -
