Hello all
first of all Happy New Year and my best wishes for 2015.
Second, I'm currently busy with a small project to represent all Belgian Air Bases a bit more accurate as the default ones of FS2004.
The project isn't something really big, using freeware libraries to set the buildings etc...
AFAIK in FSX all kinds of phototerrain sit underneath the AFCAD, if you want them to show up above you would probably need to make a polygon with your image as texture using Sbuilder or a 3D Program like Gmax/SDMax.
Hi all
as I'm researching some things with lights and fog and scasm etc I came across a scams file that uses variable 0060. I wasn't able to find this variable anywhere so does someone know what this variable does?
Thx
Hi
That's for making a complete set of runway lights at once but that is not what I am looking for. I want to place just a single light and see how that behaves in fs. And airport for windows does not cover single lights...
Hi all
I'm trying to place some single lights over my gmax ground poly using the scasm light() command.
Unfortunately I have next to none experience with scasm and the online doc isn't really helping me out on why my single light doesn't show. neither can I finf an example file which shows the...
I don't think Aerosoft used effects. But then again I'm not that used to the codes I currently see in the .sca file I decompiled from the EDDL_RWYLAMPEN.BGL file and I'm not sure I'm allowed to post that code here...
Hi all
Trying to get my airport lighting correct I still wasn't able to find a work around for the low vis option...
Checking Aerosoft EDDL I noticed they did it! But how? Decompiling the bgl learnd me they use a texture file to create the light but not how they led it light up at fog etc...
Dear Arno
I did not tweak anything special in the asm files, just the normal change and for some reason this showed me more autogen close to the airport than when I convert them with MCX without autogen exclusion prevention...
OBJECT_0_START label word
IFIN1 OBJECT_0_FAIL, image_complex, 2...
The problem seems to be within MCX... When manually editing the asm file and converting them the flickering stops
Now trying to find out what option in MCX causes this...
EDIT: found it, prevent autogen exlcusion is the bugger... strange thing is that when manually editing the files and...
Okey, it is definitely a layering problem, just placed all bgl's at addcat, 8 and all works like a charm...
Before I did this I checked if all vertices were at z=0.0 and they all are...
Next I tried if it would still flicker on me when I would place them as only bgl at addcat, 8, none of the...
Anyone got any ideas? This one is really starting to bug me...
I found out that when looking in top view in fs the poly's that flicker are not visible...
But TcalX doesn't work with FS9... :(
So I would need another tool to check this out in FS but I don't think it would be the flatten because of this:
first bgl is photoreal ground on ADDCAT, 8 and works without problems
second bgl are the detailed taxiways, runway and aprons but only works when...
Again with third poly...
And it happens again...I just placed the third poly containing taxilines, set it to ground layer 32 (last used was 28) and guess what... this third poly starts to flicker on me...
I just set the layer number to 28 and the flickering stops...
What on earth could be...
Hi all
just another quick question:
is it possible to weld vertexes together without actually welding them, so actually placing 3 vertexes of 3 different polygons all on the same spot without them getting welded together?
I managed to do it to place the RCS to local but that's rather time...
