    Your XML scripts are perfectly written. Dave is quite correct in this instance the 'weapon invisible' script isn't needed. All that remains for you is implementation in the model itself.

I've found that I can use the last .xanim file and the recovered modeldef.xml file to match up the guids and recover the name in the .max file. The remaining issue is recreating...

    Thanks, I'll give it a try. ...10 minutes later... That worked a treat. Not only the Save work, but also the "Save only used" which greatly reduced the resulting recovered modeldef.xml file! Now I only have to identify and rename all of the tagged objects so they will match the original .max...
