    system32\VarTable.txt

Hi Folks. After a bit of fiddling and searching I was getting nowhere. I then re-ran the installer msi and selected the option to repair the programme. This has fixed the error message. I have no idea what was causing it but the repair worked a treat. Cheers...Ken.

    FSX Parking spot naming

Hi George. Okay, thanks for the info. I appreciate it. I'll just go with the general CIX parking location on a particular airfield, e.g. SE Parking. It would have been nice, but such is life. Regards...Ken

    FSX Parking spot naming

Hi Folks. I've spent a while trying to find out how to Add To/Modify the Parking Spot names in FSX using either ADE or Airport Studio. I would like to have new parking spots with the Name of a flying club along with a number, like this, CIX Parking 1. Okay, it looks like it is the Parking IDs...

FSX default Cessna 172 prop texture.

Hi Don, my apologies. I edited my first reply regarding the Cessna textures. I must have made the edit after your suggestion about the FS9 version or Henry's payware model. I tried the FSX default Bell 206, we have a club livery for that also, and I cannot get rid of the tail rotor texture...

FSX default Cessna 172 prop texture.

Hi Don. Okay, thanks for the prompt reply, I appreciate it. The CIX vfr club uses the Cessna as a trainer and has a livery for it. I'll check whether another freeware model can be re-painted. I'm looking forward to working with SAMM. Don...I don't wish to be a nuisance...but...I tried the FSX...

FSX default Cessna 172 prop texture.

Hi Folks. I am running FSX under Win7 with an Nvidia GTX660 card and an i3 processor. I have an issue with the prop disc in the Default C172 and also the pilot side door. I have un-ticked the prop texture in the Texture Editor window but the black disk still shows up in the aircraft model. The...

FSX Tileing a GP custom texture

Hi Folks. With your previous help and also help from my friend Bob, I've managed to align my textures and was getting quite good at it until I discovered that my textures were not tiling but being stretched out. The apron I am texturing is at EGKA and it is composed of concrete poured in...

FSX Taxiways and Apron texture angles

Hi Tom and hello again Jon. Ahh okay, sounds good. Tom, I have the manual and have read through it but I'm still learning with this so another two or three reads will be required for me to 'get my head round it' I have a good friend in the 'States who has helped me a lot and understands ground...

FSX Taxiways and Apron texture angles

Hi Jon. Here are my two shots. I apologise if they are way too large, I'm not accustomed to doing this. The top shot is a payware version of EDI and shows the textures 'square on' to the line of the apron whereas my effort below shows them at an angle to the 'run' of the taxiway and apron. I...

FSX Taxiways and Apron texture angles

Hi Folks. I apologise for the rather obscure title of this post. Here is what I mean by it. I am fairly new to airport design and only now starting to think about using GPs etc. When I create aprons and taxiways using the 'default' stuff in ADE the effect is that they always are placed at...

    Hg to mb/hPa

Hello again Heretic. It's a cab file and I see that there are two options in the xml code. One for inches of mercury and one for millibars. The millibars text has a forward slash at the start. I'm assuming that means it is commented out. The mercury entry has no slash. Can I simply change over...

    Hg to mb/hPa

Hi Folks. I have an altimeter that reads the baro. in inches of mercury. I would like to have it read in hPa. I've checked all the usual places and can't find a replacement gauge. I have Panel studio for FSX. The gauge is the Collins altimeter for the Carenado Beech 1900D. I did some dabbling...
