When I install ADE 1.6 on my new Windows 8.1 machine, I get the following unhandled exception error when I try to run the program. If I right-click on the executable and Run as Administrator the program works, but this is clunky. Solution?

Is there a solution to the issue that AI ships following an AFCAD taxiway waggle slightly when passing through nodes on a corner? AI aircraft as far as I can tell don't do this. Why the difference? And nope, I mean a solution other than using an FSX boat traffic file.
I have a situation where a couple of objects that show in FSX when copied to the P3D folder do not show up. Several FSX library marina objects are not showing, and the other instance is a custom xml-placed object.
So here's another possibility:
1. I have an FS9 library of cars that are not lit at night.
2. These objects have a DXT3 shadow under them integrated with the model.
3. This works fine on terrain.
4. I want to place these models on a raised gmax surface, but the shadow just makes a hole in the...
Ya, Ray, this is different, it doesn't appear at all. I assume you're looking at the default.
I was too lazy to adapt my own, Kevin, I have lots of gmax fence models. So I'll have to do that.
Hi Ray, it's CFA4, Carcross, YT. I'm actually putting the boundary fence around an adjacent electrical substation, there isn't one around the runway area. But I tried placing one there too and nothing appeared. Tried a bunch of different types of fences.
The origin of the facility file is...
Boundary fences have always worked fine for me, but at one airport it doesn't appear at any angle.
Any idea why this would occur? I"m using the same procedure I always did.
Hey Arno, I spoke with another developer who loves MCX and has done hundreds of ground polys and says he's never had a problem. He suggested a different approach: instead of trying to convert from the FS8 BGL to FSX BGL in MCX, I convert the gmax model to FSX, export the FSX MDL, import that to...
Roger on curvature.
I didn't use the wizard. ;) I simply imported FS8 and exported FSX. I left the height at zero, as I assumed it was placed AGL.
So now I used the wizard, and the poly didn't appear. Suspecting it to be below ground level, I adjusted the height in MCX to...
So I playfully selected "correct for earth curvature" on both objects, re-exported, and now the previously flickering object doesn't appear at all, and the other one flickers.
