In Spain we are trying to create the autogen for the whole country.
It is intended, of course, for using along with the amazing photoscenery that we already have for Spain (1 m/pixel).
We are using the amazing tool scenProc from Arno (Thanks!!).
I would like to thank Mr. Arno for this "scenPro" tool and for his step by step tutorial:
This morning, in a couple of hours, without having any idea about autogen, I was able to create my...
Thanks Jon for the reply.
I added a photo satellite as a background of the airport.
I used the Ground Polygon Wizard in MCX.
Let's forget AFX... How could I easily match the lights made with AFW with the existing taxiways?
I made an airport with AFX.
As I added a ground polygon, all the lights are covered.
With "Airport for Windows" I added an invisible runway and all the lights can be seen.
Now I want to add the taxiways lights... but it is very difficult to match both taxiways (AFX & AFW) because I can...
Thank you for your replies.
Finally, I got "Airport for Windows" and it is very easy to make lights and PAPIs for FS2004 and they can be seen over the ground polygon.
However, I have another problem. I will open a new thread.
Has anyone tried to make a custom PAPI with SketchUp?
I tried to follow this tutorial:
... but as I don't know how to use Gmax I don't get anything working.
mmm... There must be something... because the results are different.
In my last three sceneries I coudn't use the wizard because of that effect.
It's a pity, because the wizard is extremely useful.
Hi.. I have a similar problem (FS2004).
If I use the wizard, I get an area around the plane that follows me.
In this area the terrain below my ground polygon shows up:
(in this picture the ground textures are a little bit transparent. Don't pay attention to that)
However, if I tweak the asm...
Thank you very much for your replies.
Just by chance, I found some textures (belonging to ez-fuel tanks.bgl) without mipmaps. Then I added mipmaps and the problem went off :-)
But, there might be some other textures in the same situation.
Is there an easy way to find them? or do I have to...
I often have blurred textures in an Scenery which have more than 1000 files in the Texture folder (mix of DXT1 & DXT3).
As I read in the forums, this usually happens when one of the textures has a format that FS2004 doesn't like.
How can I find that texture? because all the textures...
I can't see any coordinates....
I paste the .xml file.
