I installed new P3DV5 and added my scenery on it.
There is a significant change (from what I see) to the way that light affect objects. Some of my PBR textures seem better and some very dark. I have not re-compiled the airport with the new SDK, just installed it and checking...
Just to write again that the tool could not compile a single .mdl with pbr material or multiple .mdls with pbr materials either.

I do not prepare an earlier version than V4. Main reason is that it is very difficult to run and support all versions since they have important changes. I although started some tests to add pbr ground material.

This is probably the reason for the flickering.
Select ONLY slice 100m not the 500 and grouping. All ground polygons MUST be sliced to less than 100m so that they follow the earth curvature.
If slicing from GPW does not work:

Ok I just checked the files you sent again. It seems that they are not "sliced" every 100m. Do you select this option and DEselect the 500m before compiling? If not your polygons will not follow earth curvature.
If that doesn't work either then try to slice the polygons every 100m in 3dsmax...
If you used MCX GPW I think you must not enter negative zbias values.
You have to enter the values as used in FSX and MCX does the conversion by itself.
I would also suggest that the zbias values have at least a difference of two (i.e. 2, 4, 6 etc). I use a value difference of 4
